The shoes meet all the important criteria of barefoot footwear. They have an anatomical shape with enough space for all toes, with zero drop between the toe and the heel. The sole is thin (3.5 mm + 2 mm tread) for a real barefoot experience. They are flexible, bending in all directions and very light.

In this case of being in between, we recommend choosing the larger size. You can easily correct too much extra space with insoles.

With ballerina shoes the maximum of 0.7 cm is recommended, however it is largely subjective. A woman who has just started wearing barefoot shoes need a smaller toe allowance. Experienced barefoot shoes wearers find 1 cm toe allowance comfortable, some find comfortable even larger space.

It depends on the upper material. If your Shapens are smooth leather, just wipe them with a damp cloth and apply a suitable product when dry. We recommend polishing with balms or beeswax. This prevents cracking, maintains the integrity of the material surface, thereby preserving the original property and quality of the leather.
If you have Shapens made of nubuck or velour (suede), never clean them wet, like smooth leather, but dry with special abrasive sponges or brushes. The upkeep of nubuck and suede shoes is a bit more difficult, so they need to be treated with special products that renovate the shoes and restore their color.
