The sole is thin (3.5 mm + 2 mm pattern) for a real barefoot experience. They are flexible, bending in all directions and very light.

Caring for barefoot boots FROSTY
To maintain the functionality and long life of your boots, we recommend regular care. Remove dust and winter dirt from the surface with a soft, moistened cloth. For deep cleaning, use a cleaning foam, which you will wipe off completely after application.
To keep the leather parts supple with no cracking, apply moisturizing cream or oil on them regularly, leaving the nylon parts clean. For maximum protection from snow and moisture, we recommend impregnating the boots before the first wear. Your boots will remain in perfect condition and accompany you dry and warm with every step.

Frequently Asked Questions

SHAPEN barefoot shoes are the ideal choice especially for the "Egyptian" foot type, characterized by a dominant big toe as the longest digit. Thanks to their anatomical shape, they provide the big toe with ample space without any unwanted pressure.

If you find yourself between two sizes, it’s usually best to choose the larger size for more comfort and to provide some toe allowance (oversize). Any extra space can be adjusted using insoles.
However, if you prefer a snugger fit, you may opt for the smaller size, depending on your personal preference for extra room in your shoes. For more personalized advice, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].
-
Toe allowance, also called “oversize,” is the extra space you leave between your longest toe and the end of the shoe to ensure comfort and natural movement. For SHAPEN shoes, the recommended toe allowance varies by model - you can find the specific oversize at the bottom of each size chart.
For enclosed shoes (such as winter shoes and trainers), the recommended toe allowance is 8 to 12 mm.
For sandals, a generally smaller oversize of 3 to 5 mm is recommended.
For open sandals, the oversize is usually between 5 to 10 mm.
Choosing the right toe allowance helps prevent discomfort and optimizes the fit.

Care depends on the material of the upper.
Smooth leather:
Simply wipe your shoes with a damp cloth, then allow them to dry. Once dry, apply a suitable leather balm or beeswax. Regular polishing helps prevent cracking, maintains the surface, and preserves the leather’s original quality.
Nubuck or suede (velour):
These materials require cleaning only when dry - never clean them with water as you would with smooth leather. Use special brushes or abrasive sponges designed for suede or nubuck. These shoes also need special care products to restore their color and refresh the material.
