To maintain the perfect appearance and long life of your boots, we recommend regular and thorough care. Simply remove dust and dirt from smooth leather with a soft, moistened cloth. For deep cleansing, use a shampoo or cleansing foam, which you wipe off completely after application.

To keep the leather soft and resistant to external influences, regularly use a moisturizing cream or oil. It deeply nourishes the leather, keeps it elastic and prevents it from drying or cracking in cold weather. For maximum protection from moisture and snow, we recommend impregnating the boots before the first wear. Your boots will accompany you in complete comfort and beauty at every step.

SHAPEN barefoot shoes are the ideal choice especially for the "Egyptian" foot type, characterized by a dominant big toe as the longest digit. Thanks to their anatomical shape, they provide the big toe with ample space without any unwanted pressure.

If you find yourself between two sizes, it’s usually best to choose the larger size for more comfort and to provide some toe allowance (oversize). Any extra space can be adjusted using insoles.

Toe allowance, also called “oversize,” is the extra space you leave between your longest toe and the end of the shoe to ensure comfort and natural movement. For SHAPEN shoes, the recommended toe allowance varies by model - you can find the specific oversize at the bottom of each size chart.

For enclosed shoes (such as winter shoes and trainers), the recommended toe allowance is 8 to 12 mm.

For sandals, a generally smaller oversize of 3 to 5 mm is recommended.

For open sandals, the oversize is usually between 5 to 10 mm.

Choosing the right toe allowance helps prevent discomfort and optimizes the fit.

Care depends on the material of the upper.

Smooth leather:

Simply wipe your shoes with a damp cloth, then allow them to dry. Once dry, apply a suitable leather balm or beeswax. Regular polishing helps prevent cracking, maintains the surface, and preserves the leather’s original quality.

Nubuck or suede (velour):

These materials require cleaning only when dry - never clean them with water as you would with smooth leather. Use special brushes or abrasive sponges designed for suede or nubuck. These shoes also need special care products to restore their color and refresh the material.

Excellent quality, but problematic calf circumference
​I am very pleased with the design, comfort, and overall craftsmanship of these boots – the material is sturdy and clearly of high quality. However, I would like to point out a technical drawback regarding the calf circumference, which affects the overall experience.

​In my opinion, this circumference is simply too narrow for standard proportions, making the boots almost impossible to wear over jeans or thicker winter tights. Although the model features an elastic insert, it is extremely firm and creates significant pressure, leading to concerns about potentially damaging the zipper while fastening. I had a few friends of different builds try them on, and most of them encountered the same issue.

​It is a pity that the cut doesn’t allow for a bit more room, as just an additional 2 cm in width would make these the perfect boots—staying securely in place while providing maximum comfort. I believe such a small adjustment in dimensions would make this model ideal and more accessible to a wider range of customers.

These boots are stylish and look great, but unfortunately they didn’t fit me as expected.

I’m 155 cm tall, and the boots end up going slightly over my knee, which makes them uncomfortable to wear. They also feel unusually wide around the calf. I normally have the opposite issue (my calves are on the larger side), so I believe the looseness happens because the boots sit too high on the narrower part of my calf.

Another concern is the fit around the foot. I ordered a size 38, and with my 23.5 cm foot length, I expected about 1 cm of extra space — which should be ideal — but the boots feel much roomier than that.

I’m still unsure whether to return them or try a size 37, especially because with size 37 there would supposedly be no extra space in the foot, and I’m not certain that sizing down by 1 cm in height and width would be enough to solve the calf fit issue.

Overall, they’re beautiful boots, but the fit wasn’t right for me.

I give it three stars because the shoe is really beautiful and finally has a high shaft with a zipper. Unfortunately, however, the shaft is very narrow (even the rubber insert doesn't help) and very wide at the ankle. I was very excited about these chic barefoot boots, but I had to send them back.

Overall I’m very pleased with this boot! The only thing I don’t love is that the boot comes up past my calf and behind my knee (I’m 5’3) and therefore there’s quite a bit of scrunching that happens at the ankle. I wish the boot was about an inch shorter to create an absolutely perfect fit :)

Unfortunately, they are much too tight around the ankle and calf. On the other hand, they are much too loose around the foot. Even though there should be room for my toes, I have too much space. I can't wear jeans underneath them, otherwise I get nasty pressure marks on my legs. My calves are of normal build. What a shame.

Boots are really comfortable. The colour is not exactly as on the picture (a bit darker). I ordered leather boots, but part of a shim of these boots feels like it is not genuine leather. Otherwise, looking good and I have received compliments on them.

Very nice boots, but the upper part is rather high (I wear 42, and normal hight, so I guess this is ok for a taller person). But this is not a reason for 4 stars. The reason is the the material looks rigid and stiff (feeling is ok, just look).
