To keep the leather soft and resistant to external influences, regularly use a moisturizing cream or oil. It deeply nourishes the leather, keeps it elastic and prevents it from drying or cracking in cold weather. For maximum protection from moisture and snow, we recommend impregnating the boots before the first wear. Your boots will accompany you in complete comfort and beauty at every step.

SHAPEN barefoot shoes are the ideal choice especially for the "Egyptian" foot type, characterized by a dominant big toe as the longest digit. Thanks to their anatomical shape, they provide the big toe with ample space without any unwanted pressure.

Toe allowance, also called “oversize,” is the extra space you leave between your longest toe and the end of the shoe to ensure comfort and natural movement. For SHAPEN shoes, the recommended toe allowance varies by model - you can find the specific oversize at the bottom of each size chart.

For enclosed shoes (such as winter shoes and trainers), the recommended toe allowance is 8 to 12 mm.

For sandals, a generally smaller oversize of 3 to 5 mm is recommended.

For open sandals, the oversize is usually between 5 to 10 mm.

Choosing the right toe allowance helps prevent discomfort and optimizes the fit.

Care depends on the material of the upper.

Smooth leather:

Simply wipe your shoes with a damp cloth, then allow them to dry. Once dry, apply a suitable leather balm or beeswax. Regular polishing helps prevent cracking, maintains the surface, and preserves the leather’s original quality.

Nubuck or suede (velour):

These materials require cleaning only when dry - never clean them with water as you would with smooth leather. Use special brushes or abrasive sponges designed for suede or nubuck. These shoes also need special care products to restore their color and refresh the material.

The shoes are looking better than I expected. For a barefoot shoe they are pretty elegant. I have been wearing them for one month now and they are still shiny and looking like brand new. The size is exact. They are very, very zero-drop - the sole is quite thin and flexible and you can feel everything under your feet to the extent that I had to put insoles to wear them more comfortably. The insoles also help with the heat insulation, as they have none, just the leather. But still, they seem to be warm and wearable in minus 1-5 degrees outside (with a warm insole added). I remove one star, because they are very hard to put on. They have a zipper, but the zipper doesn't reach the bottom part of the shoe, this was probably an attempt to make it more waterproof for rainy days. However,I struggle every time to pass my ankle inside, although i released the ties and although my feet and ankles are narrow.

Hands down one of the comfiest shoes i have ever worn... I have a really wide fan shaped foot... or "square" in Anyas Reviews... 26cm long but i like a lot of room for my toes (not touching the shoe at all). And I normally have to size up for extra width so... I went a size 43 and it is so great!! The sole is nice and thin though and now it's getting colder i thought about getting the thermal inlay but didn't... ended up buying then the day I got the shoes though so... worth just getting them with the shoe. My only con is with the thermal inlay... while wearing them they kind of.... bunch a little or... shift to the heel... leaving a gap at the end of my toes. Not sure if getting a larger size inlay would help this or not...
Anyway I still had enough room for a sock and the inlay... super stoked. Saving for my next pair already!

I bought a size smaller than my barefoot shoes (Vivo, Be Lenka, Pegres, Ahinsa) because they didn't have my size, and according to the measurements, they should still fit me. I like this boot but the upper is stiffer than I predicted. If you tie it tight then the patent leather tongue rubs and squeaks against the other parts of the shoe when you walk. Also, the zipper opening is barely big enough to squeeze my foot inside without having to untie. I still like the shoe though because the sole is flexible and thin. I hope with wear, they will soften.
